About the film-maker
Andre
is one of the co-founders of MSF and has recently
been studying film-making, film being one of his
passions. Andre made his first short-film in early
2006, The Chosen Passion, which was based on experiences
he had been through to get to where he's at today.
Now Andre is studying at a film school in Melbourne
and was recently given a scholarship to fund the
remainder of his course while impressing the course
co-ordinators.
Andre decided to enter his first short-film into
the Korean international film festival last month,
not knowing what to expect. His film was selected
as a finalist, one of 20 from around the world
and the only film selected from Australia. His
airfare and accomodation were paid for, giving
him the opportunity to visit South Korea and meet
other aspiring film-makers from around the world.
His film didn't win the major awards but for Andre,
he knew this was just the beginning of what's
to come.
