With a lack of positive media and exposure of basketball in Australia over recent years, we decided that if the media were not going to give one of Australia's most played sports its due respect, instead of complaining about it - we needed to step up and create our own media.
With our background in Multimedia, Journalism and Video Production, we decided to combine our skills with our passion - resulting in the birth of Hoopcity. |

Hoopcity is proud to be the voice of basketball in Australia. The true purpose of Hoopcity is about promoting what deserves to be recognised in the game, promoting the sports development in Australia and giving the basketball community a platform to unite - to make
a difference and be heard.

THE WEBSITE
Hoopcity.com.au is the online home of modern basketball media in Australia. Since launched by MSF in 2008, Hoopcity Online became one of the most popular websites in the country for unique interviews, inspiring articles and quality videos that received record-views for Australian Basketball worldwide. Now 2013, the Hoopcity website is being re-developed to make its return. Stay tuned for the launch date announcement. |

THE MAGAZINE
The premiere issue of Hoopcity Magazine was released in 2008 as a trial edition. Featuring interviews with NBL legend Darryl McDonald, David Barlow, Hook Mitchell, and stories on Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson and Patty Mills - Issue One was a big hit amongst Aussie hoop fans.
With more than 2,000 copies sold and distributed Australia-wide, Hoopcity developed a strong support-base with readers from all corners of the country.
With the decision to put the mag on hold until longterm support was established, personal goals and career opportunities presented itself for the team behind Hoopcity. |

After years of working in the fields of Journalism, Web Design, Video Production and Real Estate - the MSF team increased their skills, however, there was something missing. Recently, the team felt it was time to get back into the MSF vision - one step at a time.
While Hoopcity Online is set for a major re-launch in October - the future of Hoopcity Magazine is going to be confirmed in the months ahead.
