FOOTSCRAY HAWKS BASKETBALL CLUB In 2011, MSF brought back the Footscray Hawks Basketball club starting with a weekly training program to generate interest for local players in the West. The Footscray "YMCA" Hawks initially had teams playing in the early 90s - through a program started by the late Arthur Thompson. Since bringing the hype back of the Hawks, there are now 5 junior teams representing the club playing in the new Westside Basketball League in West Footscray.
